NATO Contract to SELEX Sistemi Integrati
SELEX Sistemi Integrati has received a Contract of 15 M€ for the integration of about 230 Sensors on new implemented Air Command and Control (ACCS) Sites, hosted by eleven NATO Nations: Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Hungary, Norway, Portugal, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece and France.
The Contract has been awarded to SELEX Sistemi Integrati, through the ACCS Main Contractor ACSI, from the NATO Agency NACMA and from the French DGA.
This contract includes the delivery of the Sensors Integration Capability, already developed by SELEX during the first phase of the NATO ACCS Program, and the integration of both the NATO backbone radars and the National military and ATC radars according to the new military standard (AWCIES) and to the existing civil standard (ASTERIX). In the first phase of such Contract SELEX has already integrated about 130 active and passive sensors.
The NATO ACCS LOC 1 program now includes a total of 11 replication sites in addition to the 4 validation sites in Belgium, France, Germany and Italy, as well as 1 Deployable ARS (DARS) which is based at a Garrison Site in the Netherlands, and 1 Deployable CAOC (DCAOC) which is co-located with the Validation site in Germany. An additional DARS is planned. The possibility exists of additional National ARS sites in Italy, Germany and in the most recent NATO member Nations.
ACCS LOC 1 is designed to replace NATO’s existing air command and control systems in Europe and will set new standards of interoperability for air operations by providing a single, integrated approach to planning, tasking, monitoring and mission execution.
