Naval Surface Warfare Center: 37 M$ to SAIC

Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) today announced it has been awarded a task order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) – Crane Division to provide technical and training support to the U.S. Navy Surface Warfare’s Special Operating Forces (SOF), and other DoD Agencies. The follow-on task order has a two year base period of performance, three one-year options, and a total value of more than $37 million, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at the NSWC in Crane, Ind., and at other customer locations as required. The task order was awarded under the U.S. Navy’s SeaPort-e contract.

NSWC Crane maintains a full spectrum research, development, acquisition, support, and test and evaluation capabilities for surface warfare combat, and weapons, hull, mechanical, and electrical systems. Under the task order, SAIC will continue to support NSWC’s Joint Forces and Support Branch by providing a wide-range of technical and training support for SOF programs. SAIC will also develop, coordinate, conduct, and monitor logistical requirements.

“We look forward to continuing our support of NSWC Crane by helping provide SOF warfighters with the advanced skills, training, and weapons familiarity required to perform their critical missions in any environment,” said Tom Baybrook, SAIC senior vice president and business unit manager.
