Jordan: $37.1 M to DRS for electronic warfare systems
The Jordanian armed forces are receiving two electronic warfare battalion systems through a U.S. Foreign Military Sales Contract that will be provided by DRS Defense Solutions LLC, Intelligence, Communications and Avionics Solutions business unit in Merrimack, N.H..
“This award illustrates our strategy and supports our mission to provide superior electronic warfare capabilities for dominance on the electronic battlefield,” said ICAS President Logen Thiran. “We are pleased to provide the Jordanian armed forces with these advanced, turn-key electronic warfare battalion systems.”
Two ground-based system configurations will be provided to Jordan. Each consists of one electronic warfare operations center, two electronic attack systems and six electronic support/surveillance systems.
The award was made by the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J.
DRS Defense Solutions LLC has headquarters in Bethesda, Md. DRS Technologies, its parent organization, is a Finmeccanica company.
