Leonardo will study how to defend the Galileo Program from cyberattacks.
Attacks on satellite networks are heavily concerned by satellite operators. As far as the European context is concerned, the European Space Agency (ESA) has chosen Leonardo for a Galileo data security management study, also in the light of the introduction of new system mission requirements and new standards and procedures of security related to the continental satellite network.
The company has been chosen by the European Space Agency (ESA) to conduct a study into the management of data security for the Galileo European navigation satellite programme.
Leonardo will develop a benchmark architecture and define requirements and processes for managing the programme’s information security, in accordance with recent European cyber regulations.
