US DHS Critical Infrastructure: Chemical Security Update
The chemical security laws and regulations (click to download) information has been updated to reflect compliance activities related to the paperwork reduction act for the Chemical-Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS). In particular, the Infrastructure Security Compliance Division (ISCD) has provided a link to a notice soliciting comments for 30 days of an information collection request that will enable ISCD to implement the personnel surety requirements of the CFATS under 6 CFR 27.230(a)(12)(iv). The 30-day public comment period is required prior to the submission of this information collection request to OMB. The 30 day notice also responds to comments received during the 60 day comment period which concluded in August of 2009. The submission to OMB will describe the nature of the information collection, the categories of respondents, the estimated burden, and cost.
