US Army: $455M contract to DRS for Vehicle C4ISR Equipment

DRS Tactical Systems has secured a potential $455 million deal to help the U.S. Army install new equipment on vehicles, Military and Aerospace Electronics reported Wednesday.

DRS will produce mounted components for C4ISR equipment (command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance). The Army seeks to acquire integrated devices and reduce the size of displays and equipment used for operations, according to the report.

DRS Tactical Systems will also provide the armed forces tools, programs and applications that work to protect hard drives and shield data networks from cybersecurity threats.
